Salon du Chocolat in Milan
From February 13 to 15, “The Mall Porta Nuova” in Milan will host the first Italian edition of the“Salon du Chocolat,” one of the largest events dedicated to the delicacy favored by millions of people around the world, inaugurated in 1994 in Paris. Three days of tastings, cooking demonstrations, and workshops for children.
“In Italy, in previous years, we always had a certain respect for our French cousins regarding food in general and chocolate in particular. But then we realized that our “Maîtres Chocolatier” are second to none”, said Salon organizers Roberto Silva Coronel and Peter Cerretani, talking about the reasons that led them to bring the event to Milan.
The “Salon du Chocolat” can be divided into several main events. The first will be a combination of chocolate and fashion: young designers from the Naba Fashion Lab in Milan will design 10 dresses made of chocolate, which will be presented during the gala evening on February 12, in “The Mall”. The fashion show will be repeated on Saturday and Sunday, and the dresses will be on display for three days open to the public.
The second noteworthy event will be the “sensory experience” organized by Gilberto Mora and the International Institute of Chocolier led by Luigi Odello, combined with a tasting of chocolate in its best combinations.
Iginio Massari, known for his participation in the Masterchef program as well as other Italian and international great “maîtres chocolatier” will take part in the third great event which will be “Chocoshow” or great cooking!
During the Salon, special attention will be paid to children, for whom many different workshops will be created so that they can recreate scenes from Roald Dahl’s famous novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Much attention will also be devoted to lovers and Valentines, for whom various initiatives will also be prepared.
The only thing missing from the set is a large space where you can shop, chocolate of course :). For chocolate lovers, there will be no shortage of products from the best international confectioneries.
Entrance tickets are available for purchase on the Salon website, at discounted prices: 12 euros for a full ticket and 8 for a discounted ticket. When buying tickets on the spot, they will cost 15 and 10 euros respectively.

I lived in Milan for 18 years, and it was there that I came to know the city’s daily life best - not just its landmarks, but also its rhythm, its habits, and its less obvious sides. Today I live in Wrocław, but I still return to Milan regularly.
