Thursday, April 30 will see the inauguration of the EXPO 2015 World Exhibition with a free concert in Milan’s Piazza Duomo, featuring world-renowned tenor Andrea Bocelli. Singer is also an Extraordinary Ambassador of EXPO 2015. The evening will be broadcast live via streaming on the official EXPO 2015 website and on Italy’s RAI1 television, starting at 8:30 p.m.
Other exceptional artists have also announced their participation in the event. In addition to Andrea Bocelli, we will see on stage Chinese pianist Lang Lang, Expo 2015 Ambassador, soprano Diana Damrau, tenor Francesco Meli, baritone Simone Piazzoli, and soprano Maria Luigia Borsi, accompanied by the choir and orchestra Teatro alla Scala and Orchestra “Accademia Teatro alla Scala.” The choir and orchestra will be conducted by masters Bruno Casoni and Marco Armiliato.
Paolo Bonolis and Antonella Clerici will conduct the concert.
