Staying near the airport lets you explore the city in the evening and catch your flight stress-free in the morning. Often cheaper than <a class=\"wpil_keyword_link\" href=\"https:\/\/mediolan.pl\/en\/where-to-sleep-in-milan-the-best-neighborhoods-hotels-and-apartments\/\" title=\"hotels\" data-wpil-keyword-link=\"linked\" data-wpil-monitor-id=\"199\">hotels<\/a> in touristy Citt\u00e0 Alta, too.   <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When it&#8217;s better to stay in Bergamo city center or Milan?<\/h3>\n\n<p>If your flight is during normal hours (after 9:00 AM, before 9:00 PM), Bergamo&#8217;s center might be the better choice. Citt\u00e0 Alta, the historic part of town, is beautiful \u2013 narrow streets, ancient walls, fantastic restaurants. Much more pleasant to spend an evening than near the airport.  <\/p>\n\n<p>From Bergamo center to the airport, you&#8217;ll take the ATB bus in 20-30 minutes. Hotel prices in the city are sometimes lower than near the airport, especially off-season. Getting from Bergamo to Milan is easy too \u2013 the train takes an hour.  <\/p>\n\n<p>But careful: if your flight&#8217;s at 6:30 and the first bus from downtown doesn&#8217;t leave until 4:45, the math is simple. You won&#8217;t make it.
