Although the Pinacoteca di Brera, which uses the corridors surrounding the library, is widely known, the library itself remains unjustly in the shadows, unknown to many residents. It is a place open to the public, especially students and researchers. Ta niezwyk\u0142a dekoracja jest wynikiem praktyki przechowywania szcz\u0105tk\u00f3w ludzkich w ko\u015bciele, co by\u0142o powszechne w tamtych czasach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In <strong>1695<\/strong>, the artist <strong>Sebastiano Ricci<\/strong> enriched the interior of the church with numerous frescoes that decorated the vault, adding even more character and depth to the place. The chapel, the main attraction of the church, is reached through a narrow corridor, located just off the entrance on the right. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The bones and skulls that can be seen in the chapel come from a nearby ancient ossuary. In <strong>1652<\/strong>, after the closure of the local hospital and the related exhumation of the cemetery, additional remains were added to the chapel. There are three niches on each side wall, and two on the back wall, with a centrally placed painting of the <strong>Virgin Mary on a throne with the Child<\/strong>.
